Geocache Description:

Yak Attack

A simple cache located within the carparking area of Bamarang Rd Kayak Launch Ramp

A great place to launch your kayak and hit the water! From here its only a short paddle out onto the open waters of the Shoalhaven River or you can choose to paddle up Calymea Creek which will take you a couple of hundred metres past the bridge on Yalwal Rd.

If planning on a kayaking adventure firstly you will need 4 essential items -

- Your going to need a kayak

- Transportation with Racking and Tie Down Straps

-  A Paddle with a Leash

- Life Jacket or Safety Vest with Whistle

With these 4 items your all set to hit the water however its always recommeded to take some extra gear, for example

- Water Bottle or Bladder

- Snacks or other food

- Rope

- Sunglasses

- Hat

- Sunscreen

 - Drybag to store GPS,mobile phones and any other valuable

- First Aid Kit

- Water Shoes or Sandles

- Swimmers

- Towel

- Rainjacket

- Fishing Gear

- Change of Dry Clothes

Thats just to name a few, always take what makes you feel comfortable, find out the weight rating of your vessel and remember to never over load or carry too much extra or unnessery weight!

When heading out on the water its always a good idea to go with somebody else or let someone know where you going and you estimated time of return and check recent weather updates

Resident cows are sometimes seen cooling off near the creek egde,if your up for dip theres a nice little beach on the river at the entrance of Calymea Creek

Good Luck and Happy Caching!
