Welcome to the end of the line! This cache is placed along the cedar river bike/walking trail. this trail used to be a train track in the early days of maple valley. the railroad was used to transport coal and other goodies via train. when this was no longer needed the tracks were removed and is now a trail that goes from black diamond all the way to renton and vise versa. I have been riding this trail since I was 6 years old and is now a major access point for my geocaching adventures.
The cache is called "End of the line!" because this is the end of the official trail. When the train tracks were here there was a bridge that went over the BNSF rails that are still active today.
The trail curves 90° degrees to the right. A metal chain-link fence starts at this curve. The cache is located somewhere along curved part of this fence. Container is a small Advil bottle about the size of the average chap-stick container. You must use your Geosense when looking for this cache. There is a small glass marble at the bottom of the container. DO NOT TAKE IT! It is there to help prevent the log from getting stuck. If the log gets stuck, gently shake the container and the movement of the marble will push the log out of the container. Pretty smart huh?
Be sure to watch the little ones around the cache as the rails near the cache are active and freight trains go by frequently, usually around noon.
