You are looking for an unusual cache that looks out of place.
Baird Park is a small green space that includes several historical structures comprising the Uwchlan Township Municipal Campus (administration and police station). The administration building encloses the Pugh family one-room residence dating back to the early 1700s. This property includes picnic tables that overlook several ponds with two wooden foot bridges. Signs warn that the ponds are home to snapping turtles.
The large parking lot borders a memorial honoring all veterans and their families. There's a nearby sign that reads as follows:
“September, 1777
To honor the brave Revolutionary War soldiers who fought the Battle of the Clouds in neighboring communities under the leadership of General George Wasington. After that Engagement, the Continental Army withdrew through this area of Uwchlan Township on their way to Lionville and Yellow Springs.”
Important: Start at the parking lot coordinates in the Waypoints. For your safety and out of respect for township rules please do not park on the nearby access road. Bring your own pen; an extraction tool will be helpful. Please replace carefully so it stays in place.
Placed with permission of Uwchlan Township. Open sunrise to sunset.
