Frankston Waterfront Wander (AL Bonus) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Brain: Well, it seems that things can change in the span of a month!
As confirmed independently by myself and BendSinister, the cache appears to be totally missing, and so too is the not-insubstantial boulder that it was hiding behind (fun fact: it was initially sitting about 5m away pre-publication and took me a good few minutes to roll over to this less conspicuous location) which means something is definitely up with this spot!
I suppose it makes the decision to archive a little easier!

This is perhaps the hide that has caused me the most headaches, particularly in terms of trying a new take on the AL genre just as they were all starting to become a tad more samey (and less prone to having their instructions read).
Still, I'm quite fond of the associated AdLab for this one and will keep it up for a little longer in the event that anyone is especially interested in attempting it, although two years was a decent run, so it's unlikely to remain on the map forever.
Thanks to all prior visitors! :)

Update (27/07): After keeping the AL alive for a few more months, its 4.2 star rating was insufficient to meet HQ's new requirement that all of one's active ALs be in the top 90% of all ALs. I'd been thinking of finally killing this one off for a while, but this gave me a reason to (it's still a shame, given it's a loss to the unusually AL-based creativity that I alluded to earlier).
With a final count of 138 participants / 98 AL completions / 570 location completions, Frankston Waterfront Wander is now archived.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.

There is, however, a very nice bridge that happens to be the starting point for the Frankston Waterfront Wander Adventure Lab which, once completed, will reveal the necessary information to locate the cache.

very nice bridge

Frankston Waterfront is one of the most recognisable features of the area and plays host to several major events year-round as well as providing an outdoor precinct for locals and tourists alike to visit and enjoy.

The Waterfront of today was largely developed between the mid-2000s and late-2010s, with features such as the Landmark Bridge, southern boardwalk extension, Visitor Information Centre, playground (as well as its subsequent renovation) and several public art installations all added during this time.

This Adventure Lab focuses on the art and sculptures of the foreshore, highlighting five in particular that must be identified to find each location's answer.

To locate this bonus cache, you must first complete the Frankston Waterfront Wander Adventure Lab on Groundspeak's Adventure Lab app.

You can find it by clicking this link, scanning the QR code below or looking for the Frankston Waterfront Wander pin on the Adventures app (which is at the same coordinates as the pin for this mystery cache).

When a location is successfully answered, a journal entry will appear with a congratulations message alongside some clues. Completing all five locations will unlock all the clues you require for this bonus cache.

Once you have all of your clues, ensure the letters are in the right order (it's quite on theme) and substitute their corresponding numbers into the following coordinates:

S38 ??.??? E145 ??.???

Feel free to use the checker below to confirm your coordinates, it'll also give some helpful hints as to the nature of the cache hide.

Enjoy your waterfront wander and have fun!

Congratulations to Steak_286 for being First To Find!
