This event is the Prizegiving for the PEG Series that took place during the christmas holidays
81 caches were published, and the competition was fierce. Thank you to all the cachers who placed caches, and a big thank you to all who took part. It turned our to be a great success with the totals very close between the top 5.

There will be 2 mystery prizes as well. Dont miss this event, it might be you getting a prize
there were some very cool caches placed, and I think just another reason for anyone in South Africa to visit our beautiful area. From the cachers I have spoken to around the country, All have said the caches in the eastern Cape are by far the best in the country. I have also heard on many occasions that PE has the best variety, most well maintained, and nicest caches in the country. This just makes it more attractive for cachers country wide to visit our region. The PEG Caches just also add to the attraction for the Mega later in the year which i am sure is going to be a great success.(please log your "WILL ATTEND" if not done yet)
Gnomesville
This event will also see the launch of "GNOMESVILLE PE". This has been a pet project of mine for a few years, and i would love to see it be very successful, and eventually become a tourist attraction.
You are encouraged to bring a gnome to join the other gnomes to create a gnome community where they can all live happily ever after.

there are a few outlets in PE that sell gnomes, and it would be great if you can bring one along. You can write your caching name on the gnomes hat if you like, and place it in an area marked for geocacher gnomes.

The idea is to place gnomes representing your family, and also its a nice touch to place one in rememberance of a family member or close friend who has passed on.
If this idea catches on, i hope the community of gnomes will grow to form a Gnome village with hundreds of gnomes. An area has kindly been allocated by the property owners for the placing of gnomes, just follow the signs.
