Geocache Description:

You are at the historic Lafayette Cemetery, established 1828.  The earliest burial dates to 1793, and a birth year of 1777 is visible on one of the stones near the entrance.  While here, ponder the views of yesteryear, picture the Paulinksill River running through the valley below you, and wonder what life was like way back then in Sussex County for these long departed souls.

Many members of the Ackerson family rest here.  Other families are in their company as well.  If you know the stories of any of these families, or are decended from any of them, please note that in your log.  Each person that rests here likely had an interesting story waiting to be told.

The cache is a small letterbox stashed just outside the cemetery, and can accomodate small trades.  It is starting out with a logbook, stamp, a few wheat tail pennies from my grandfather's collection, and a pencil.  Bring your own ink pad for the stamper, as the one I purchased for the cache is rubbish.  I will pick up another in the near future and add it to the cache.

To turn the ✉ into a 😀, park/start at the posted coordinates.  Project a waypoint out 110 yards to a heading 26° north of due east.  That will get you close enough to the prize and I think you're good from there.  Those not wishing to walk directly through the cemetery can still get there by going around via the same projection.
