BGT20: Goldfields Track (Ballarat GeoTour) Traditional Cache

Location:

The Goldfields track is a journey of 210km linking the cities of Ballarat and Bendigo. It traverses through historic regional centres and an ever changing landscape of dramatic forests, mining relics and open farmland. The section from Mt Buninyong to Daylesford is known as the Wallaby Track. The trail follows the Yarrowee River through Ballarat before entering the bushland of the Wombat State forest. This cache is placed approximately 450m along the track from the Yarrowee River Crossing. The suggested carpark waypoint is provided below. The track ascends steeply from the river before levelling out and traversing open forest. The cache you seek is an ammo can hidden about 60m from the walking track.
