Sunset Picnic Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Swampcreature: With a few DNF's, the cache appears to have disappeared again. I no longer live in the area and I'm unable to maintain it any more. Sadly, it's time to say goodbye to this one.

Geocache Description:

Wangal Reserve occupies the end of the narrow finger of land that is Mortlake Point, a small oasis of green tranquility amongst the ever increasing urban development of Mortlake and Breakfast Point. It offers superb views across the Parramatta River to the Dame Eadith Walker Estate on one side, and to Putney on the other, and it's a great place to take a picnic dinner and watch the sunset over the water. The park features freshly landscaped picnic areas and a newly constructed playground (now with a flying fox- Yippee!) According to the plaque on the Northern end of the point, this was the site of the Green point Naval Dockyard during World War II where Fairmile patrol boats were constructed.
There can be a high level of muggle activity on weekends, so stealth is required. The container is a micro containing a log book only- BYO pen. It is accessible from ground level so there's no need to get your feet wet. Please replace it carefully in it's hidey hole.
