Sticks and Stones Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

FeathersGonnaFly: The cache was still there, but so covered by fallen trees that noone would have been able to find it. I had to crawl on my belly to retrieve it, and was only successful because I knew how it was camouflaged. This spot is no longer ideal, so I will hide it again when I find a better spot.

Geocache Description:

Moccasin Lake Park is a 51-acre nature preserve with trails and boardwalks under a canopy of mature oaks and across ponds and creeks, with an array of wildlife including gopher turtles, raccoons, alligators and many birds. It is also a sanctuary for injured birds of prey. Be sure to see them when you visit!

This cache is only accessible within the park, and the park hours are Tuesday-Sunday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Trails close to new visitors at 4:15 p.m. If it's nearing 5 p.m. and you are still in the park, the front gate may be closed when you leave. Just pull your vehicle up close to it and it will open.

The park is closed on all City of Clearwater recognized Holidays. No pets are permitted inside the park with the exception of guide or service dogs.

Bring your own pen for this one. Thanks for looking!
