When the walkway along the canal here was first implemented around 2008 and 2009 as part of an extensive new greenway network, one question was how the canal walkway would fare over time. A dozen years later, the question is answered, and - at least in this section - the greenway is thriving, providing an attractive and highly functional transportation link intricately connected to the surrounding communities.
The cache area is surrounded by art and painting themed schools, memorials and galleries - much to the benefit of the urban environment. The walkway along the winding canal is already attractive, and the artwork lining the alleyways transform what would otherwise be drab walls.
