Geocache Description:

The water tower that belonged to the Warley mental hospital, is built over the scullery, had a tank which held 10,000 gallons with water pumped by a 7 h.p. non-condensing engine from a large reservoir at the bottom of the grounds (it soon proved inadequate and two more were later built on the site). It was completed in the year 1885. This Grade ll water tower was converted into The Tower and is now a private residence.

The whole hospital complex is now an impressive and expensive residential area. However, you can walk the streets around the whole estate and even enter some parts of this massive building if you are interested in such kind of architecture. There is also a perfectly maintained communal garden within it. It is worthwhile to go explore.

Cache is placed in the vicinity of this building and it is a simple micro.
Stealth and discretion are required at any time.
