I was out doing maintenance on my 'Pistol Creek meets Jocko River" geocache today when I decided to place a couple more in the Arlee area in hopes more geocachers will come make the mountain finds too.
I had not realized that a newish informational sign had been placed here along US Hwy 93 so I made a point to stop by to see and read it. This is an educational sign speaking about some of the more sobering history of our local Native American neighbors and friends here on the Flathead Indian Reservation. It also touches on the Creators story of the Coyote. Please take the time to read and take in this info, as we are all neighbors, families and friends here and knowing history even when a difficult one, is important. Although this is a "small" there is no room for trade items or a writing utensil. Please bring your own. Will not be findable if we get significant snow.
Any non-tribal members seeking this geocache may need to buy and have on their person a tribal recreation permit. Check below where these permits can be purchased on a yearly basis.
