Mardi Gras, as a celebration of life before the somber Ash Wednesday.
We are living in such a sad time of events and to boost moral one needs a little fun. Recently the co owner of the Lord's Kitchen lost his fight to COVID. He was famous for his saying "GET DOWN" and his 1 1/2 Lb. Get Down Burger. Charlie or "Get Down Charlie" enjoyed the good life. He and wife Lilly were first featured in the San Antonio Current Issue on April 14, 2005. So let's get down and have some fun!
If COVID rules change this will be updated or extreme weather conditions. Dress appropriately.
Here's the plan of events:
Log your "will attend" prior
We will arrive at the posted coordinates swap tales and trackables. Please have a bagged trackable with your Geo cach name on it and drop it in the container to trade for another. Trading trackables is not mandatory.
Decorated cachers and cache mobiles are encouraged but not mandatory. A goody bag will be given to the first three to arrive (1 per family) and a token of appreciation for the next 10.
6:30 event over.
There are several caches in the area you may find after the event.
After the event is over log your trackable as found and log "attended".
Due to COVID, dropped trackables will not be handled by attendies other than the host. A list of all trackables will be sent after the event to be discovered along with the trackables traded to those who attend the event.
Trading a trackable, decorating your car or self, are not mandatory.
COVID has everyone scrambling for safety so we are asking that everyone follow protocal,
Reccomendations for individuals:
All individuals, especially vunerable persons. are encouraged to exercise personal responsibilityin slowing the spread of COVID-19 by: staying home if you feel sick, or have had contact with anyone exposed to COVID.
Wear a facemask and if you would like wear a Mardi gras mask.
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially while handling your trackable to pack
Keep .a distance of 6 feet, don't touch me and I won't touch you!
