津賀田神社の祭神は仁徳天皇、天照大御神で、創建不明ながら平安時代にはすでにこの地に存在していたと考えられています。
読み方は古文書によって一定しておらず、「つがた」「つかだ」「つかた」と揺らぎがあります。
古墳の上に建っているとも言われていますが、詳しい調査はされていません。
The gods of Tsukata Shrine are Emperor Nintoku and Amaterasu Omikami, and although the shrine's founding is unknown, it is believed to have existed here as early as the Heian period. The reading of the name is not consistent among ancient documents, and fluctuates between "Tsugata," "Tsukada," and "Tsukata.
It is also said to be built on top of a burial mound, but no detailed research has been done.
