Geocache Description:

Note:Due to ongoing health issues with the cache owner in France, the corresponding traditional cache in France has been archived. This means that no more French cachers will be able to give you the final co-ordinates for the Australian Puzzle cache. Given the circumstances, you may be able to obtain the answer from cachers that have already collaborated.

This cache, Hurlingham Park, still contains the final co-ordinates for the French Puzzle cache which is still in play, so continue to make a note of them in case they request them of you. For us, you should just collaborate with one French cacher. It may be possible in the future that the the archived French cache is replaced.

This traditional cache is part of a collaboration between Australia and France. You can find and log it like any normal traditional cache, but inside you will also find the co-ordinates for a mystery cache in France - GC95YKQ Friendship OZ / France-Frensh / OZ Friendship.

By collaborating with someone in France and giving them the co-ordinates to their mystery cache, they can provide you with the co-ordinates of our mystery cache GC95WJW Friendship France / OZ / France that is close by. See that cache page for more details.

This cache is hidden in Hurlingham Park, Brighton East. Hurlingham Park was originally part of land owned by the infamous politician / land developer, Sir Thomas Bent. (Bent by name, bent by nature). It was bought by the Brighton Council in 1913 from Sir Thomas' estate 4 years after his death. The area nearby was subdivided for housing and sold. If the council had not acted at the time, we wouldn't have the Park as we know it now and would be more housing.

Back to the cache: At various times, there maybe muggles nearby in the Tennis Club or in the cricket nets, so please be discreet and avoid being noticed. Come back another time if the area is busy.

The cache is now a small 5 ml plastic test tube.
