Sir George Martin, born January 3rd, 1926, is often referred to as the "Fifth Beatle" in reference to his extensive involvement on each of The Beatles' original albums. Not only was he at the producer's mixing table for most of the Beatles' hits, but he also provided orchestral arrangements for songs such as "A Day in the Life", "All You Need Is Love", and the background soundtrack to the beautiful Yellow Submarine film. He died on March 8th, 2016.
