The Stone Dam Creek Trail is a walking and bike path which was completed in April of 2013 and is home to several wetland areas the UCA biology department uses as outdoor classrooms. The trail currently extends from the pedestrian bridge crossing Dave Ward Drive to the parking area at Mimosa street, and current plans call for its ultimate extention to South German Lane in two phases.
After entering the privet jungle from the parking area, you will be looking for a bison tube hidden in a tradional manner. Put the container back just as you found it so it will be fun for others.This area is subject to flooding at times, so watch out for mud and residual debris.
Night hunting is NOT RECOMMENDED because of visibility from nearby homes.
Remember that this is Arkansas, and dangerous critters and plants of all sorts can be present at certain times of the year. So BE CAREFUL! And should you see any trash, take a moment to practice CITO.
