Geocache Description:

This Series

This series features a mix of interesting locations and unique placements across Great Linford, Pennyland, and Downhead Park. Each cache's logbook holds a portion of the coordinates for the bonus cache (GCB84XG). The seven caches are: This isn't Holland, Post a Log, A Call for the Ant, Festive Pine Surprise 2.0, A Red Roundabout, Royal Oak, and Ants Aboard.

This Geocache

This geocache is somewhere in or around a massive historic oak tree, listed in the Ancient Tree Inventory of the Woodland Trust. It is approximately 5 metres in diameter, making it likely to be over 300 years old. It is in a nice picnic location next to a horse paddock and a short walk up from the Grand Union Canal. There are a few things like this around MK - centuries-old pieces of history that had a town built around them. A short walk to the north are some old brick kilns, and the canal itself has been a transport link for over 200 years.
