Ever feel like three's a crowd?

Lucy did.

Mark and Peter always seemed to leave her out of everything.

She didn't know why she was even with Mark anymore. 

Peter, well she could wring his neck

No matter where she and Mark went, Peter would always seem to follow. Even to their favourite festivals

There was no use talking to Mark about it anymore because all he ever did was tell her she was over reacting.

Even on the way to the last festival he threatened to cancel

It annoys her when Peter calls them the happy trio. 

She would much rather a romantic duo.
