Mario Lanza Park, is located on the 200 block of Catherine and Queen Streets.
A neighbourhood commitee was formed in 1987, when the park was in a semi-abandoned state, with high weeds, uncut grass, and no planted areas. Through its ongoing fundraising efforts and volunteer activities throughout the year, Friends of Mario Lanza Park has created a beautiful park oasis of green and beauty enjoyed by Queen Village neighbors, and Queen Village dogs!
On Tuesday nights in June, Mario Lanza Park hosts KidFest, a series of events that include Bike parade evening, Firetruck Night, Mummer’s Night, and Halloween Night.
The park recntly commisioned a rebrand of their park, hence the four shiny new banners featuring whistling birds
