Black History Month
With the trauma in North America exacerbated by the global pandemic, we have more time to reflect on what is really important. As a keen follower of the Toronto Raptors and the NBA, I am acutely aware of the double standards in how we treat each other. My Mom used to say: Is it kind? Is it necessary? Is it true? This small series is my tribute to Black History Month (BHM). Cache is peanut butter jar w/swag.
NB Black History Society
During my research and preparation for the March of NB 104th Regiment of Foot Geotrail, I became aware of the New Brunswick Black History Society, in particular one genealogist, Mary Louise McCarthy-Brandt, PhD. I was searching for possible cache sites for members of the 104th and I asked Mary for assistance. Looking for information is difficult as documents of black persons were not well kept. From births to burials, this has been the challenge for Mary and the NB Black Society. If you are seeking more information or have information to offer or you would like to volunteer, the website is:

REMINDER: During the Pandemic, masks are mandatory in Hanwell Park as it is a public space. Signs are posted.
Congratulations to gr8pix for FTF!!!
