Geocache Description:

The cache is pretty easy to get to. Please read the instructions and hide the cache back exactly as you found it so that the next person can have just as much fun finding it. You can fish in the stocked pond and picnic on the tables.

This cache will be going back in time with pennies to when the bridge was built in 1915. The Bedstead Bridge which is an old truss bridge was rescued by ODOT. It was dismantled in Washington County and moved over to this park and reassembled. This bridge only carries foot traffic now and crosses a pond. This is a micro cache and the container is a 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" tin box. The only things in the box is a 2002 penny, a pencil, and a sheet of paper with dates, starting at 2002 going back to 1915. In order to log the cache you must bring a penny that is one year older than the last penny put in there. For example we are starting it out with a 2002 penny. The first person to find this cache needs to take out the 2002 penny and replace it with a 2001 penny. Then the next person to find it needs to replace the 2001 penny with a 2000 penny etc. So you will need to read the log on the cache page the day you go looking for it to find out what date penny you will need to bring. Then you need to write on the sheet of paper next to the date of your penny your screen name. If someone already logged that date that day or if it doesn't get logged properly you can write your name on the back of the paper. Then please log your find on the cache page. We have tried to make this a harder cache to find so please hide the cache back exactly the way you have found it. Good luck and happy hunting. Since the years of the pennies are getting into the 1950s now and are harder to find we are giving you the option of finding a Multi-Cache to obtain the right year penny required to log this cache. Go to our cache page "The Bedstead Bank" and you will find the instructions on how to withdraw a penny from the Bank to log this cache. Good luck and happy hunting.
