As a newbie, I placed my first multicache for my 23rd hide (XXIII Hides). I decided then and there that I would place a multi every 23rd hide. Each of the subsequent caches in the series has had a couple of key elements in common with that first placement, including the Roman numeral in the title. Recently, I placed my 23rd hide in this series, DXXIX Hides. Although I had never had any particular affection for the number 23, it has worked very well for this series of multis.

For this puzzle, you'll need to do some research and some arithmetic. For some, it will be a joy; for others, it will be unpleasant. Find the simple arithmetic average (aka centroid*) of the Stage 1 (posted) locations of the 23 caches in the series (e.g. XXIII Hides, XLVI Hides, ... DXXIX Hides). This is readily available on geocaching.com. NOTE: if you have corrected coordinates for the final, you'll need to ignore those and take note of the Stage 1 or posted coordinates only. Correctly averaging these two series will give you the information you need to proceed. OFFSET: subtract 0.570 minutes from latitude and add 10.956 minutes to longitude—that’s where the cache container is.

* - for simplicity, let's ignore the curvature of the earth, and instead, average the latitudes and the longitudes.
