Sycamore Walk is one of the original approaches to Temple Newsam House. It pre-dates the parallel Temple Newsam Road, which is the route of the former tram line from Leeds, by several hundred years, and is thought likely to have been in existence prior to Capability Brown's 1760s landscaping of the estate. Its course to the west can still be followed today; after running downhill alongside the road, it carries straight on into what is today Temple Newsam Golf Course, spliting just after it crosses a small stream. It continued east towards Halton Moor (long before the council housing was built) or headed north towards Halton village.
The walk passes through a sycamore plantation (hence the imaginative name). The cache here replaces a previous one that was in the vicinity, the second I ever found, but which was sadly archived at some point during 2020. You're looking for a bison that has been (hopefully) well hidden at the posted co-ordinates. There's parking to be had nearby, either on the road or in one of the car parks. Placed with kind permission of Temple Newsam Estate. Good luck.
Congratulations to Giddybulldawg for their FTF.
