The cache is in the Placitas Open Space. Despite being 10-ish miles north of Albuquerque, this land is owned by the City of Albuquerque. Map, information, and driving directions can be found here.
This cache requires a hike on moderate terrain at high desert altitude. It is not a park-and-grab. The hike is about a mile from the trailhead/parking area, or two miles round-trip. Mountain bikes, horses, and dogs are allowed.
