Geocache Description:

An afternoon tour of city parks in the spirit of competition and fun. The coordinates above are located in the Pearce Estates Fish Hatchery Parking lot.

The event is a rally wherein the participants will start from a common location (see the coordinates at the top) and make their way around the city to retrieve something from caches along the way, then meet back at the starting point where results will be logged. The caches will all be placed in relatively easy to find locations in a city park or recreation area. The winner will be determined by the person/team that visits all the caches while travelling the shortest distance. This is so everyone can take their time and have fun. Strategy will be key in this. SPEED IS NOT THE OBJECTIVE. A prize will also be given to the team that comes closest to the distance logged by the cacher while placing the caches. Sound like it could be fun? :)

AND THE WINNER IS

The lapse in weather showed who the dedicated Geocachers were. But hopefully a good time was had by all. The final standings were;

Reastick 95.6 Km 1st
J2D2 97.5 Km 2nd
Napgravy 98.7 Km
Gizmo & Dr Haggis 99.3 Km
Cops'nChicks 100.0 Km
Mollydoggers 128.0 Km
outforthehunt 86.5 Km *a valiant effort*

Thanks to all who participated, next time I promise warmer weather. It was great to meet everyone and put some faces to names.

Now that everyone has logged it with their comments and I've retrieved all the caches this one will be archived at the end of the week. Just in case some other cachers want to take a look at it before then. Thanks all.
