How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is for postcards and is a traveling cache. Because of changes on the Geocaching.com site, the coords. above may not be correct.
The cache coordinates are at:

N 29 01.458 W 081 13.466

The rules on this cache are a little different from the normal, so please read through.

First, there is NO log book. To log this cache, do it on a post card (which you need to supply). Put your log notes, the date and then put it into the cache. Something with an image of your local area would be nice... or something that you would like others to see.

Second, this needs to be moved when found. It is a moving cache that has been grandfathered into geocaching, so its mission is to move when found. I would like to have it come back to Eugene, Oregon sometime (but not right away). So if you find this cache, please move it and then provide the new coords. and clues for finding it next. I would like people to find this easily, so keep the new placement a little simple. I will change the coords. when new ones are posted and change the date on the cache so that it appears as new in it's new location (because it is new to that location!!). Please try to limit the amount of time that this cache is held on to. It is fine to take it to events and such, but it is more fun for everyone if this is in the wild.

For the kind folks in Colorado who went looking for the first iteration, I would like this cache to pass through their area. A couple of suggestions would be along I-80 in the Medicine Bow N.F. (N41*15.000, W105*25.000) or along I-70 in the Arapahoe N.F. (N39*44.000, W105*30.000).

Lastly - when you relocate the cache leave something in it's place (like a teepee of small sticks or rocks) so others looking for it that day won't damage the environment looking for something that's gone!

PS - If you would like to post a picutre of your postcard, please feel free. It would be nice for others to see what was placed after them.
