It's autumn, and it's time to join your fellow NorthEast Ohio Geocachers for a picnic.
One of the ideas to come out of the brainstorming session was to have (roughly) monthly get-togethers of some sort. So for October, we decided to have a picnic.
We're looking to have our picnic at the shelter near the above coordinates (but may have to move due to availability -- if we're not there, look for a clue to find the correct coordinates).
We're also offering an introduction to Topo Map usage by SherwoodForest, who will bring his Topo Maps and compass and answer any questions you may have in map reading, or using it in conjunction with GPS.
We looking to start the picnic about 3 pm or so, to give us plenty of time to eat and learn before the sun goes down.
If you can attend, please bring a side dish (for approx. 10 - 12 people), and contact us with the number in your party as soon as possible, but no later than Friday (10/4) as we are purchasing the supplies for the picnic and charging approximately $2 per person. This will include: hamburgers, buns, plates, cups, pop, plastic forks, etc.
