This is a bushwack east of the Dodge Rd/Lost Trail in the remote western section of Bear Brook State Park. The terrain is a jumble of small to medium rocks, and some fallen trees here and there, and a typical mature un-managed forest. This hide is not in a winter friendly location, on the ground, in a place described by the title. It will be tough with a lot of snow, or wind driven drifted snow, but it was partially protected and on bare ground at the time of placement. There is some natural material to cover it a bit so as not to be conspicuous.
