Big Bear's Baby Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-DeRock-: Greetings,

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. This cache has been out of commission for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable. Since there has been no update with maintenance plans from the cache owner I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting. If not, please pick up any remaining pieces/parts of the cache before they become geolitter.

Thank you,

-DeRock-

Geocache Description:

This is located near Big Bear Lake which is 1/2 way between Johannesburg and Lewiston.

There are 2 very nice state campgrounds here. The cache is easily accessed from the Bear Lake Point campground, there are a couple nice trails leading from sites 9 & 10, or you can drive to the boat launch and walk along the lake. Or you can park on the road at N44.56.656 and W84.23.176 and walk in, from here the terrain might rate a 2. There is a fair amount of poison ivy in the area, be sure all memebers of your party can identify it. The immediate vicinity of the cache is pretty clear of it. The cache is a cylindrical tin, the kind that liquor bottles come in. Original contents include a mirror, shot glasses, keychain, Rafiki, a fishing lure from Mason's lost creek, army man from Rocks II, one of Peggy's beaded geckos from Ron's Sandbox, and Bonnie the Travel Bug, who originally came from Islander's Cache in Sault Ste Marie Ontario, before she became a Traveler.
