This is a Multi-cache. The cache is not at the posted coordinates but it is not far away. Standing at the sign that shows you a picture of Robert Louis Stevenson State Park and Mount St. Helena, look into the distance and find the actual peak of Mount St. Helena. In the same direction as the actual peak you will see an item of interest about 350 feet away. Head to this item of interest. From there go into the Manzanitas on the right. Climb through the center of one Manzanitas to get to a second Manzanita that contains the camoflaged micro bison. It is not high in the Manzanita. You cannot reach it from the ground but anyone who has hiked up here should be able to climb this. A TOTT will not help you here. You will need to step up to grab the cache.
In the event that it is too foggy to see the mountains. Simply find an item of interest approx 320 feet away or head there at a bearing of 330 degrees for 320 feet and follow the info above.
The original cache was destroyed in the fire. This is the replacement.
I always loved the view from up here. It is one of the best views of the whole area. From the summit you can see a 360 degree panorama of everything. There are two separate signs that show you all the mountains you can see with the naked eye which include Mt. Saint Helena, Snow Mountain, Cobb Mountain, Mt. Diablo, Mt, Tam, and Sonoma Mountain just to name few. If you arrive before noon you will likely see a nice fog cover on the cities below. Enjoy the view!
