'In This Place Grew Bocase Tree' so says The Stone. The Stone dating from about the 18th Century records an even older Tree. The Tree has many stories about it, the best being that one Robin Hood (before Nottingham took over him) stored his long bow here. A few years ago a new Oak Tree was planted here and there is now a bench to rest, so have a rest before carrying on.
The Caches in the woods have been placed with kind permission of the Forestry Commission. Please take note of any temporary signage and restrictions as this is a ‘working forest’.
