As spy must disguise their true identity and purpose to remain safe. Some covers are very simple like a fake name. Others are extensive and change every facet of the spy’s previous life. Sometimes spies are placed overseas working in U.S. embassies as themselves. Being an embassy employee is their cover story. There are hundreds of CIA officers positioned around the world representing themselves as diplomates.
If an agent goes deep undercover in hostile territory, they must first do hundreds of hours of preparation work to set up their cover story. Like the agent, the geocache has a fake identity. As you gain experience at spy school (or in geocaching) the cache’s disguise will be easier to spot. No hints will be given for what to look for.
