In polite society, caution and sensitivity is something most of us have gotten used to when encountering people we know and care about. After all we’re familiar with them and will likely want to continue to have mutually respectful interactions. Society implores is to be kind( or at least not evil) to those that are strangers. This isn’t always the case simply, because our niceness may have other agendas or reasons. This is when the law gives us a nudge to appeal to our better selves, and sometimes law makers leave us visual cues about our expected behaviors.
Its unlikely when driving you think deeply about who is crossing the street and the same usually hold true for them. Though the consequences for not being cautious for both sides are different in the extreme. The pedestrian can loose their life. Driver can lose their livelihood and freedom.
So please observe the posted signs, be you a pedestrian or driver. And proceed with caution and care.
