Geocache Description:

The coordinates are not the final cache. They are the starting location for a very easy caching exercise designed to take you to two gorgeous views before delivering you to the hidden cache box.

Step one: Go to the coordinates above and face in the direction that puts your back to the structure there, while looking at the river view.

Step two: Travel down the trail to the left (about 200 feet) to another overlook at the point. Go out to the center of the stone wall at the point.

Step three: Examine the wall to find stone carved graffiti that reads “DV-73-75”. Using the GPS, mark that spot. (don’t worry, satellite reception will be great).

Step four: Take those readings, add 0.193 to the last three digits of the North latitude and add 0.530 to the last three digits of West longitude. You now have the coordinates to the actual hide.

Step five: Be sure to take the time to enjoy the scenery first and then find the cache.

Simple. Right? Grin… You’re looking for std. 30 cal. can in a somewhat open area. I only ask that you be careful in retrieving and replacing the cache as this is a popular area for other hikers and curious eyes. It has been vandalized twice now. A special thanks to Brogan for servicing this cache for me.
