This micro-cache is placed at a U.S. Flag memorial (dedicated on 6/14/02) and commemorates the tragic events of September 11, 2001. This site has a gigantic U.S. Flag, just South of I-70, that could be seen for many miles. The memorial is not illuminated at night, but still can be accessed 24/7.
Our thoughts, blessings, and prayers go out to all the families and their loved ones who were affected by this terrible tragedy. As a Nation, we will never be the same.
When you visit, please use the opportunity to sit on one of the benches beneath the flag and "reflect", not only on the sadness of last year's events, but also on present day. Think of the joy that your family, friends, and loved ones bring into your life. Protect them at all costs! We all know how uncertain & fragile life really is.
The micro-cache is a film container and contains a paper roll with a small pencil (just in case you need it). When you sign the cache log, what "one" word describes how you are feeling at the moment?
