Geocache Description:

A series that will not only introduce you to some of the dog parks around the mornington peninsula but we will also be sharing some fun facts and information about a different breed of dog for every cache in the series! Although they are numbered they don't have to be done in order. We have also got our resident expert, Ebony (Gnome5580s geodog!) Who will be giving each dog park a score of 1 to 5 paws depending on how much she approves of this park! 🐶 we hope you enjoy this series as much as Ebony had testing each of these parks out 😉 and on that note here is her opinion of this park:

DROMANA DOG PARK

This dog park is behind the Dromana tennis courts and right next to the Men's shed and community garden. It is definitely the smallest one so far in our series but it is fully fenced with plenty of shade and seating. There is a bin at one of the gates but unfortunately there is no water in the off leash area and this park tends to be a bit unloved which means that you might not have any friends for your dog to play with here so for these reasons Ebony gives this park a 4 out of 5 paws!

The breed for this park is rated as the 5th most popular dog in Australia.

Golden Retriever:

The Golden Retriever is a medium-large gun dog that was bred to retrieve shot waterfowl, such as ducks and upland game birds, during hunting and shooting parties. The name "retriever" refers to the breed's ability to retrieve shot game undamaged due to their soft mouth.

Life expectancy: 10 – 12 years

Weight: Female: 25–32 kg, Male: 30–34 kg

Temperament: Friendly, Reliable, Intelligent, Kind, Trustworthy, Confident

Colors: Light Golden, Cream, Dark Golden, Golden

Height: Female: 51–56 cm, Male: 56–61 cm

Origin: U.K, Scotland & England

Personality: The golden retriever is even-tempered, intelligent and affectionate. Golden retrievers are playful, yet gentle with children, and they tend to get along well with other pets and strangers.

The cache: you are searching for a key hider, camouflaged and hidden in a usual manner. PLEASE, PLEASE PUT THE CACHE BACK IN EXACTLY THE PLACE IT WAS FOUND!! ANY OTHER PLACE WILL MAKE IT VISIBLE! Thank you for your cooperation, please make sure its as much fun for the next person to find as it was for you! Be aware that muggles can sneak up on you from any direction here so stealth will be required. BYO pen, there is a prize for FTF inside the container and most importantly happy hunting!! 🤠

Congrats to Deepsky24 for FTF!
