通常はガス管が川を渡る際は、パイプビームと呼ばれる太い直線状の配管やトラスで補強された直線の配管、あるいは他の道路橋等の下に沿ってガス管が取り付けられる場合が多いです。
しかし植田川に架かるこのガス管橋は、頼りない細い配管であるため、直線ではなく珍しいアーチ橋となっています。
またここから川を見下ろすと、多数の鯉が泳いでいるのが見ることができます。人工的に放流されたものです。
