Geocache Description:

Beyoncé is a multi-talented performer that started here career as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child. During a hiatus she launched her acting and solo musical career.

This song is from her third studio album “I am… Sasha Fierce” which was influenced by her role as Etta James in the 2008 movie Cadillac Records and her marriage to Jay-Z.

The song was released on October 13 as part of a Double A side release with “If I Were a Boy” and showcased the contrast between her and her alter ego.   It won 3 Grammy Awards in 2010 including the song of the year.  This certified quadruple-platinum single is considered one of the best songs of the decade by some and it’s charting among the top ten singles in several countries does confirm this.

The song has been compared to Aretha franklin’s “Respect” and Gloria Gaynor’s “I will Survive” due to its strong female empowerment lyrics and catchy hook.
