Geocache Description:

NOTE: You will need tweezers and your own pen to sign the log!

I grew up a few blocks away from Washington Park, and it really is a magical place.  When I was a kid, this huge meadow had soccer fields for youth soccer.  Today it fills up with volleyball nets, frisbees, dogs, and kids all summer long.  In the winter flocks of geese often wander through.  Wash Park is often described as a park with many living rooms.  If that is the case, the meadow is the back yard for them all.  If you have time to spare, take a walk through the park with no specific destination in mind!  You might stumble upon a bench with a trumpet on it, a statue of Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, the cottage of author Eugene Field that was moved into the park after the unsinkable Molly Brown purchased it and donated it to the City, or one of the many other gems throughout the park.
