This cache is placed as a Tribute to Dieselcacher35 for his birthday. He started caching in November of 2020, just before all the snow decended on Central NY but still has managed to find 30 caches, without being able to drive! I hope he enjoys this cache and the FTF/birthday present inside.
I have to admit that I placed this using a phone with very short notice, so I may need to adjust the coords, but for now, there are footprints in the snow leading right to it!
I have skied on this part of the trail, but I haven't been here in the spring or summer so I'm not sure if there is water when you step off trail. It's possible that I will need to raise the terrain rating once I see the conditions. The trail is packed down currently but when you step off trail, prepare to sink down in the soft snow. Do not pass the barbed wire fence. . . that is private property.
Parking is a few hundred feet away on Freber Road.
