Its amazing how much beaver activity there is on this trail. The wetlands are full of them, yet you'll not likely see one unless you hang out at dusk when they're very active. All along the trail you can see evidence of beavers and especially their lodges. Here you will see a beaver trail that, depending on the time of year, either into the woods or into the water. At the time of placement, the water was just a few feet away from the hiding spot for this cache. If you venture just a bit past the hide and take a peak at that giant cottonwood tree, you will notice where the beavers have started to chew through the bark into the cambium of the tree.
You're looking for a regular sized container hidden just down slope from the (11)55 post to the south of the large clump of maples. The container is one that I found at another cache location when it had been muggled and misplaced. It has been repurposed here with permission of the original owner WatchDogsMike! I really like the camouflage that he does on his cache containers and I'm really happy that I had a good place in mind for this one. As with all the caches I've placed on the SVT, I've maintained the naming convention set by Tite Lines. Hopefully when they come back they will have a bunch of new caches to find in new but familiar territory.
**Congrats to DoerOfThings for the FTF!**
