Pot gozdnih živali smo postavili z namenom, da v te kraje zvabimo radovedne geolovce in vse, ki uživate v lepih razgledih. Pot, ki se bolj ali manj zložno dviga iz vasi Nemilje proti Jamniku vas bo vodila po širokih gozdnih poteh. To pot, ki je tudi markirana, smo odkrili pred kratkim, povsem po naključju in takoj se je porodila ideja, da sem postavimo nekaj zakladov. Naš mali geolovec je že pravi naravoslovec kateremu njegov domišljijski svet bogatijo zgodbe gozdnih živalih. Vabimo vas, da se z nami podate na zanimivo dogodivščino in se ob tem naučite še kaj novega o naših gozdnih prebivalcih. # 1. Jazbec
Jazbec je naša največja kuna. Njegova glava je koničasta, trup pa močan in zajeten. Okončine so mišičaste, kremplji na prstih dolgi. Glava je bela, prek oči in uhljev se vleče široka črna proga, ki se začne kak centimeter za smrčkom.
Teža je odvisna od količine shranjene tolšče, zato se med letom občutno spreminja. Izjemoma tehta tudi več kot 20 kg.
Je ponočnjak. Po navadi se giblje počasi in previdno. Dokaj dobro pleza, v sili tudi plava. Voh in sluh sta dobro razvita, vid pa je razmeroma šibak.
Jazbečevo podzemno domovanje, ki se imenuje jazbina, je labirint hodnikov in kotlov.
Je vsejed; hrani se z malimi sesalci, še posebno z njihovimi mladiči, dvoživkami, hrošči in drugimi žuželkami, polži, deževniki in mrhovino, pleni tudi gnezda in legla. Od rastlinske hrane se hrani s koreninami in gomolji, sadjem, raznimi žiti, jagodičevjem, žirom in želodom. Največji delež v prehrani pa zavzemajo deževniki.

Dostop do izhodišča
Nemilje je vas, ki je oddaljena približno 14 km iz Kranja. Dostopate lahko:
- iz smeri Kranja - sledite oznakam za Besnico (odcep s stare ceste Ljubljana - Kranj je pred mostom preko reke Save, oz. za mostom če prihajamo iz smeri Kranja). V nadaljevanju se peljite skozi vasi Spodnja in Zgornja Besnica ter Njivice. Še nekoliko naprej prispete v Nemilje, kjer lahko parkirate na označenih koordinatah. Od parkirišča pojdite po označeni poti v smeri Jamnika.
- Iz Železnikov se skozi vas Dražgoše odpeljite v smeri Krope. Sledi prečna vožnja po pobočjih Jelovice, nato pa prispete do križišča, kjer se ostro v desno odcepi cesta proti Kranju (tabla za odcep za Kranj je le iz nasprotne smeri). Tu nadaljujete ostro desno (če je ovinek preoster je kakih 50 metrov naprej urejeno obračališče), nato pa se spustite v Podblico in še naprej do naselja Nemilje, kjer se v levo odcepi stranska cesta kjer lahko parkirate.
Od parkirišča se odpravite v smeri markirane poti proti Jamniku.

We discovered this path, which is also marked, recently, quite by accident. And immediately we came to idea to put some caches here. Our little geocacher enjoys nature and his imaginary world is enriched by the stories of forest animals. # 1. Badger
The badger is our big forest inhabitant. His head is pointed and his torso is strong and bulky. The limbs are muscular, the claws on the fingers are long. The head is white, and a wide black line is drawn over the eyes and ears, starting an inch behind the snout. The weight depends on the amount of fat stored and therefore varies significantly during the year. Exceptionally, it also weighs more than 20 kg.
Badger is night animal. It usually moves slowly and carefully. It climbs fairly well, and he swims in an emergency. The badgers smell and hearing are well developed, and the vision is relatively weak.
Badger's underground home, called the burrow, is a maze of corridors and boilers. It is omnivorous; it feeds on small mammals, in particular their pups, amphibians, beetles and other insects, snails, earthworms, and predates nests and litters. He also feeds on roots and tubers, fruits, various cereals, berries, and acorns. The largest part of his diet represents the earthworms.

Nemilje is a village about 14 km from Kranj.
You can access:
- from Kranj: follow the signs for Besnica (the sign for Besnica if you come from old Ljubljana - Kranj road is in front of the bridge over the Sava river, or behind the bridge if you come from Kranj). Continue through the villages of Spodnja and Zgornja Besnica and Njivice. Further on, you arrive in Nemilje, where you turn right and park the car at the given coordinates.
- From Železniki: drive through the village of Dražgoše towards Kropa. Continuoe your ride along the slopes of Jelovica, until you arrive at a crossroads where the road to Kranj sharply turns to the right (the signpost for Kranj is seen just in the opposite direction). Here you continue sharply to the right (if the bend is too sharp for you, you can turn your car about 50 meters further, and then return to the cross road), and then descend into Podblica and continue to the village Nemilje. In the village, turn left and park at the given coordinates.
From the parking area, follow the marked path in the direction of Jamnik.
