Tree Trivia
Trees can help you find your way if you get lost in the woods. In northern temperate climates, moss will grow on the northern side of the tree trunk, where there is more shade. Also, a tree’s rings can help point you in the right direction too. If you’re in the northern hemisphere, you can see the rings of the tree grow slightly thicker on the southern side since it receives more light. In the southern hemisphere, the opposite is true, with rings being thicker on the north side.
Finding The Cache
The coordinates take you to a 'busy junction' in the forest trails here....there's a bench! Not a bad place to sit and have a bit of a breather, but also a good place to navigate from. Sitting on the bench, the cache is located about 12 metres to the South. You'll need to hop over the ditch.
As with the other caches in the series, remember to take a note of the leaf type and use the table on the cache page for caches 1 or 7 to turn it into coordinates for the Bonus cache. If you are doing the series in order, then you should by now have all the stamps needed to find the bonus. It's less than 300m away.
Please leave the stamp, stampbook and inkpad in the cache for the next cacher.
