Welcome to the renovated Natural Tendencies Series! This series originated with 3 caches around the Covington area, but over time some had to be archived. The series started out when I first began placing caches and I noticed a tendency for my caches to be placed along the Little Soos Creek in the Covington area. To continue with the trend, the Natural Tendencies series caches were placed along locations as close to Little Soos Creek as possible, although you probably won't actually see the creek as you are searching.
Another part of my personal geocaching theme is that every cache I hide will have some sort of customized 3D printed element to it. When this series was originally placed, the containers used were not 3D printed, but they did have a 3D printed "log retainer" with the GC code on it. Unfortunately, those containers were not as water-resistant as hoped, and I had constant issues with water getting inside despite multiple attempts to prevent it.
Over time, these caches just didn't seem to meet the quality standards that other cachers (and quite frankly, myself) have come to expect from QTX caches. So (as of July '22), I've reworked the design of the caches from scratch. This time, they are 100% 3D printed and have been designed and tested to withstand rain to a higher degree, hopefully keeping them drier moving forward. I wanted to retain the look and feel of the original containers, so the new ones are very similar in appearance and are still hidden in the same way and in the same spots.
They should be easy enough to find hanging around here or there, but additional growth could make them harder in the spring & summer months. BYOP. Have fun and Happy Caching!
