Geocache Description:

They say “The grass is always greener on the other side”
In this case the cache is up a flight of stairs on the other side of the road just south of the Seawall. It’s a quick five-minute pit-stop on your way to or from Granville Island. There’s room for tiny swag and a pencil is provided. This little cache is hidden in plain sight… happy caching!

🧭 Cache Details

  • Small container – tiny swag only, pencil in place for signing

🌆 About False Creek South
False Creek South is a celebrated example of transforming inner-city industrial land into a vibrant pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood. Street names here recall the businesses that once lined this shoreline. Today it’s an inclusive community of varied ages and incomes, a testament to progressive urban planning that shaped Vancouver into the modern city it is now.

Transportation Tips

  • Best reached by bike, foot or transit (great for both your health and the environment)

  • The #50 bus stops right here, connecting you to Granville Island one way and the Olympic Canada Line Station the other

A Bit of History
From 1998 to 2011 a heritage electric streetcar ran between Granville Island and Olympic Village. During the 2010 Winter Olympics this “Olympic Line” carried over 550 000 passengers without a single incident, earning an award from the Canadian Urban Transit Association.
