Geocache Description:

Take a seat when you reach GZ for SUZANNE.  Directly in front of you is a fence.

A second Stanley Series of caches, taking in one of the most popular walks of the area.  'The Nut' at Stanley is an extinct volcanic plug that offers a fabulous circuit walk after either a heart pumping hike up, or a chair lift ride [fee for ride].  There is a large parking area at the starting point as well as a refreshment facility and rest rooms.

The easier walk for the circuit is clockwise because of a number of steps. Several lookouts provide panoramic views and seats for resting.  The circuit walk at the top is 2k and is on an all weather, solid, track.  Most of the walk is open ground with button grass and some shrubbery but there is a lovely forest stretch after descending the steps.  It can be very windy on The Nut but the walk is well worthwhile for the views over the beaches stretching east and west, the wharf area as well as the township of Stanley.

Note:  The chairlift does not operate in the winter and can be closed down at any time due to high winds.

The aim is to collect all the caches up on The Nut so that you don't need to make that climb a second time so good hints and directions are given.
