This is one of my local favorite WINTER destinations. I live 1 mile from the lake and then this ski destination is 1.5 miles down the lake. When the lake is frozen it is a great walk/run/ski! Of course the GSL is also a favorite snowmobile destination. When the lake is not frozen, you will need to travel by boat. Be aware of the shallows here. There are MANY rocks and old foundations from before the area was flooded.
