This is a fun word I came across, meaning literally, "free air life." It is a Norwegian word coined in 1859 by Henrik Ibsen. It has several other definitions, including "being outside in a simple way," "being present in nature," "childish adventurism, exploration and serenity," and "the great outdoors."
