This is an easy to find cache on Picadilly Lane in Maumee Ohio. While it is a quick find, it is not a park and grab as there is no really close legal parking. I have included two waypoints for the closest parking.
I have heard the name Picadilly for most of my life. Although those things in my memory all spell the word with TWO C's. The main reference point is the famous Piccadilly Square (also known as Piccadilly Circus) in London. That is a famous intersection somewhat like Times Square in New York City. There is also a cafeteria-style restuarant chain down south with that name that I have gone to. The only place with the spelling with one C that I found is a city in Canada. So I am not sure if this street name spelling was a mistake or if it is named after a person with that name.
As a side note, why did I pick this location for a cache and why now. Well, last week there was a police vehicle chase through this part of town and the chase ended with the pickup truck taking a nose dive into this creek and then the suspect fled on foot. This made news for a couple of days and I did not know exactly where it was, so I looked it up on Google Maps and saw that there was a place that I could place a cache nearby. I have included pictures (with credits) of the truck in the photo gallery from local news media, if you are interested.
